Simple Steps to Control Negative Thinking

1 Analyze your thoughts

Know what you are thinking. Are those useful to you and for the family?

2 Do not be fearful of negative thoughts. Realize their effect on you. Think of your roles in the family and future events.

3 Stay busy doing what you love to do. Remain engaged in housekeeping, cooking, and other household works.

4 Have faith in God. Do spiritual exercises like worshipping, prayer.

5 Do yoga, especially which involves deep breathing.

6 Practice mindfulness meditation.

7 See sunrise daily. Spend some time in nature amidst trees, green fields. See birds moving. Feel the cool breeze from the lake, pond, or river.

8 Focus on one task at a time. Remain engaged in creative works which require the exercise of the brain.

9 Socialize. Talk to family members, friends, and neighbors as and when possible.

10 Go shopping. Enjoy purchasing a variety of vegetables and fruits, colorful dresses.

12 See comedy serials. Watch such short videos on YouTube. Learn to cut jokes.

13 Change mindset and experience different results. Sometimes walk on a different path.

14 Be more optimistic to be able to control your life yourself. Do journaling. Express your thoughts

15 Find things to love and get engaged

16 Be interested in photography and videography. Capture good moments so that you recall enjoyable memories later on.

17 Establish new habits like learning new things e.g. on utilizing all the features now offered on smartphones. Make your life easy.

18 Get rid of any grudge sitting inside you. Learn to forgive and forget and stay light-hearted.

19 Think for sure that you are destined to live a good life by default. Bad conditions or situations are temporary. Do not waste time by thinking about the same.

20 Always have positive self-talk. Practice morning affirmations

Increased longevity

Better immunity power

Better psychological well-being

Less risk of death

Better subjective well-being

Better coping ability

22 Eat good foods to improve energy and vitality

24 Try to improve daily at least in any two areas of your life. Be self-motivated

25 Start small. Plans must be executed.

26 Smile often. Enjoy the right mood. Make it inside out.

27 Listen to music often. Let your brain relax

28 Think life is not always a bed of roses. Everybody faces challenges and it is common for all.

29 Focus on the right things in life. Check what has gone wrong and how you can improve. Take small steps with the intention to improve but do not dwell on negatives for long.

30 List one thing to do in the morning which can make you happy

31 Increase your expectations to live a good life. What you attract by desires, you will get. Redefine elegance.

32 Try to adapt to a healthy lifestyle like jogging in the morning and walking in the evening

33 Surround you with positive-minded people

34 Be kind to others. Get involved in charity, volunteer to share where you find your strength
