Eating healthy helps to prevent, and protect body organs from many diseases, like heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic and communicable diseases.

Healthy eating can fight diseases

A balanced diet generally includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy products, and limits consumption of added sugar, salt, and saturated fats.

Vegetables and fruits are the foundation of healthy eating

Foods with fish like Salmon, lentils, leafy green vegetables like spinach, oats, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, squash, eggs, low fat dairy product, fight off diseases:

Heart-related problems

Fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains, beans and legumes, fish and lean meat, plant-based fat like Avocado, olive oil, egg, and low-fat dairy products are heart-friendly foods.

Diabetes

People with Diabetes can eat reasonable amounts of vegetables like Broccoli, carrots, pepper, and tomato; fruits like oranges, melon, and grapes; grains.

Cancer — fruits and vegetables like red, orange, yellow, and dark green vegetables. These contain vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, antioxidants

Osteoporosis — men > 71 yrs Age and women > 51 yrs. Age needs 1200 mg of Ca every day. Foods rich in Calcium are low-fat dairy products, fresh leafy vegetables, fortified milk and cereals, and fish like Tuna and Salmon.
